Georgia Southern Senior Honored as ESG Founder’s Award Winner

ms-whitney-thorntonMs. Whitney Thornton, Bachelor of Science in Public Health senior at the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health Georgia Southern University was recently awarded the Eta Sigma Gamma (ESG) Founder’s Award. Each year, ESG selects one undergraduate student in health education to receive the Founders scholarship. Ms. Thornton was selected for consistently demonstrating an ability to excel not only in the classroom but also in the community. She also demonstrates the values of ESG in a variety of ways including her leadership as the vice president of the ESG chapter Gamma Upsilon at Georgia Southern University. This award will be presented on Friday, March 31st, 2017, at the ESG Business Meeting & Awards Ceremony during the annual SOPHE meeting in Denver, Colorado.
