Mission and Overview
The mission of the Master of Healthcare Administration (M.H.A.) degree is to develop leaders who possess the values, knowledge, and skills to manage optimal delivery of healthcare.
All Georgia Southern University Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health students who select to study the M.H.A. degree program will complete a minimum of 45 credits in this discipline. Students pursuing this degree will take the Public Health M.P.H. core courses (18 credits), Healthcare Administration Courses (24 credits). In addition, students will participate in a Managerial Practicum (3 credits) where they will apply, in practical fashion, the skills learned throughout their education. Upon completion of the M.H.A. will be trained to function effectively as administrators of healthcare services.
