B.S. in Health Promotion and Education
Mission and Overview
The mission of the Bachelor of Public Health (B.S.P.H.) degree is to prepare students to conduct programs with all populations in a variety of practice settings, on a spectrum of health related topics. Students completing an B.S.P.H. in Health Education and Promotion will possess professional expertise in the areas of program planning, implementation and evaluation of disease prevention and health promotion activities.
All Georgia Southern University Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health students who select to study the B.S.P.H. – Health Education and Promotion degree program will complete a minimum of 126 credits. Students pursuing this degree will take 45 credit hours of coursework in Health Education and Promotion, and a 12-hour internship, in addition to their core curriculum, major and additional requirements and electives.
