Department of Community Health
The Department of Community Health at Georgia Southern University’s Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health is designed to prepare you for community‐based public health interventions. You will learn to solve problems in the field of public health and prepare for a variety of leadership positions, especially those in community health programs.
The department offers three degrees in community health to match your current level of education and experience – a Dr.P.H. in Community Health Behavior & Education, an M.P.H. in Community Health, and a B.S.P.H. in Health Education and Promotion. Our community health programs also include the opportunity for students to obtain a minor in Health Education and Promotion.
The Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
