Regional Hospital Coordinator
Ashton Anderson, MPH, MPA joined PHEPP in 2014 as the Regional Hospital Coordinator (RHC). The RHC works with 23 hospitals across a three state, six county region to provide planning and exercise assistance, management of ASPR grant funds, and direct emergency operations during emergencies and events that require activation of the Regional Hospital MOU or movement of hospital cache assets. Ashton earned her Bachelors of Arts in Biology as well as a Masters in Public Health concentrated in policy and management from the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health at Georgia Southern University. She then received a Masters of Public Administration, also concentrated in policy, from Georgia College & State University. She is currently working on her DrPH in strategic planning from Georgia Southern. Before joining PHEPP she worked as a Research Assistant for Georgia Southern implementing a Hazard Vulnerability Assessment tool for Public Health Districts in the State of Georgia. Other preparedness experience comes from facilitating an All-Hazards Communication plan for Chatham County Emergency Management Agency in Savannah, Georgia, as well as a policy evaluator for hospital systems in Ghana, Africa.
