Dr. Renee Hotchkiss named to the Board of Directors
Dr. Renee Hotchkiss, Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management at Georgia Southern University Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health, has been appointed to the board of directors for the Hearts and Hands Clinic of Statesboro. The Hearts and Hands Clinic of Statesboro promotes healthy living and health education by providing free primary health services for the citizens of the Bulloch County community who are medically uninsured and have an income at or below 200% of the federal poverty guideline. Our purpose is not one of enabling, but to serve the community by providing support for individuals as they seek ways to better themselves. Together we take our hearts and use our hands to inspire by giving hope.
“During these difficult economic times a large number of families and individuals find themselves without health insurance and earning very little income. I support a mission to enhance health and eliminate health disparities of rural communities and underserved populations in Georgia. I am well aware of the difference that clinics like the Hearts and Hands Clinic, Inc. can make in a rural community,” says Dr. Hotchkiss.
