JPHCOPH Expands Impact

Lynn WoodhouseGeorgia Southern University Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health (JPHCOPH) and the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on June 18, 2012. This MOU was facilitated by Dr. Lynn Woodhouse during her recent trip to India.  This MOU for JPHCOPH and PHFI will foster joint efforts to promote education of public health professionals in India and to conduct collaborative research.  The objectives of this collaboration include stimulating quality public health education and training, implementing scientific and cultural exchange, and promoting inter-institutional cooperation. The two parties will develop and foster education, training, research and professional activities among students and faculty of the two institutions as well as across various public health organizations throughout India represented by PHFI.

“We are pleased to report that this is the second MOU signed by JPHCOPH and affiliates in India. JPHCOPH and the Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences signed a MOU in April to support student exchange and grant writing collaborations.  This MOU gives us the opportunity to expand our initiatives with both of these important institutions.”
