American Statistical Association announces the Karl E. Peace Award
Georgia Southern University’s Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health’s Professor, Karl E. Peace, is bestowed a new honor in 2012 from his family. The Karl E. Peace Award for Outstanding Statistical Contributions for the Betterment of Society was established by Christopher K. Peace, son of Karl E. Peace, on behalf of the Peace family to honor the life work of his father. The award will be issued by the American Statistical Association to statisticians who have made significant contributions to the statistical profession and to society as a whole. The award will be presented to outstanding individual(s) who have made considerable contributions to the statistical world, and whose contributions have led to improving the human condition.
