Enver Roshi, M.D., Ph.D., MPH, University of Tirana, Albania Visits Georgia Southern University | Dr. Enver Roshi, Head of the Department of Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, University of Tirana, Albania visited Georgia Southern University August 24-28, 2009. Dr. Roshi, an Adjunct Faculty Member in the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health presented a lecture to faculty and students entitled "In the Public Health: Violence, Human Rights, and the Developing World." In addition, Dr. Roshi met with faculty, students and administrators to discuss collaborative research, curriculum and student and faculty exchange programs between Georgia Southern University and the University of Tirana. Dr. Roshi was the first Junior Faculty Development Scholar hosted by the Jiann-Ping Hsu College of Public Health spring semester 2006. It was great to have Enver back to explore collaborative opportunities. Special thanks to Dr. Lori Amy from the Women's and Gender Studies Program in the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at Georgia Southern University for all her efforts to make Enver's visit a reality. Lori is currently on a Fulbright Scholarship working in Albania. |
